Think Big…Get Paid

Do You Like Writing?

Do You Like Shopping?

Do You Like Talking?

Why am I asking?  Because anything that you like doing, can be turned into a business.  Anything.  Don’t take your talents for granted.  Since you are so good at whatever that “thing” is, you probably never stop to take notice that it’s something you excel at.  Something you do extremely well, without even trying.  Take a moment — some moments, to think about it and see what you come up with and then “Go For It!”

While you ponder, let me ask…

Do you know the name Jasmine Lawrence? Or how about Amiya Alexander?  You might, you might not.  They are both young, powerhouses who used their talents to make careers for themselves.  Allow me to introduce them both to you:

Jasmine Lawrence, CEO & Founder.

A 17 year old, from Williamstown, NJ., who at the age of 15, founded her own company called Eden: Body Works — a natural hair and skin product line.

At the age of 11, Jasmine lost all her hair due to a bad experience with chemical relaxer.

Tired of all the harsh products available, at the age of 13, she decided to make her own products — something that was better suited for her hair.

Jasmine’s Eden: Body Works, shampoo, conditioner, hair milk, and hair oil, can be found at your local Wal-Mart stores.

Amiya Alexander, CEO & Founder.

A 10-year old diva with her own mobile dance studio.  In an interview with msnbc, Amiya said the idea for her bus came to her in a dream.  When she awoke the next day, she drew a picture of the bus,  gave it to her mother, discussed the details of her vision, and the rest is history.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Amiya has been a dancer since the age of 2, and a member of the Detroit Pistons Junior Automation.  She teaches various types of dance, to both male and female students, ranging in ages from 2 through 12.  Visit Amiya’s website to get acquainted:  amiyasdancebus.com

Both Jasmine and Amiya turned their passions and visions into lucrative businesses.  YOU can too!  All it takes is thinking of, and taking seriously, those special skills you have been blessed with.  Do you like to clean, do you like to organize, do you like to help your friends shop for cute clothes and accessories?  Do you like doing hair?

Remember this:  There are not many people in this world that end up doing what they love to do, but you have a chance to do that by utilizing your God-given talents.  So put your thinking caps on and make it happen…then come back by Babygirlz and tell us your story!

Wow. Great piece. I had never heard of either young lady before reading the column. I agree — being paid for something that one loves to do is the absolute best thing that can happen in life.

Amiya is incredibly talented. Interesting how her vision came to her in a dream. I will return to view video, it loaded slowly for me on this computer.
