3 Fresh Spring Beauty Trends
Spring is here and its time to put your fresh in overdrive! Check out these three hot trends that will keep you pretty and fly at the same time.
1. Make it Hot…Pink
A splash of pink on your cheeks, lips, nails or hair is a hot way to make yourself stand out in a crowd. The key is to keep you pink focused! Try a touch of soft pink gloss paired with a bolder pink cheek. Or try the reverse – hot pink lips with a soft pink cheek.

2. New blues — Teal eyeliner
If you are stuck on black eyeliner — lighten up and brighten up. With the floral trend in fashion, it’s easy to choose a pretty eyeliner color to compliment not only your wardrobe, but your eye color. I am particularly smitten with brighter blues and greens for spring, like teal, turquoise and seafoam green. Try the following eyeliners:
You don’t have to run out and spend a fortune on a new eyeliner though. You can find great liners in a variety of formulas at your local drugstore or beauty supply. Here are my top 5 eyeliners that I think are ideal choices fresh spring alternatives. If you just can’t quit using your black eyeliner, consider layering your brighter over your black, that will give you an updated take on black eyeliner.

3. Healthy Hair
Take care of your locks by using the right products. Avoid over processing your hair with heat and tight braiding. Wash hair no more than once per week unless you are swimming on a daily basis. Then be sure to use the proper shampoo which removes chlorine from your hair.
Condition your hair after each shampooing and be sure to deep condition at least once per week. Get regular trims on your ends. If you have split ends, be sure to have the ALL cut. The splitting will travel up your hair shaft and cause more damage.
Wear a silk or satin scarf to bed. Not only does this practice preserve your hair, but it preserves your skin!
Garnier Fructis makes a line of products that is reasonably priced and works for our hair.
Available at all major drugstores.
